Results

UCP needed more than a marketing partner. They needed someone to architect the operational intelligence behind pricing, sourcing, and margin decisions. UCP now has a fully specified, developer-ready platform bridging that gap between business need and technical execution.

01

Brief

A pharmacy that needed
an operating system.

UCP Pharmacy sells self-care, beauty and prescription products across a catalogue wide enough that pricing, sourcing and margin stop being decisions anyone can make by hand. They came to KHP for marketing. What they actually needed first was the intelligence layer underneath it, and then the channels to sell through.

02

The Challenge

Pricing decisions made
without the numbers.

Pricing, supplier choice and margin were being set without a system that could compare them. Every new supplier, every competitor move and every delivery route was handled case by case, which does not scale across a catalogue this size and leaves margin on the table at every turn.

The second challenge was the shopfront. UCP's online presence was a brochure, not a business: no transactional storefront, no app, and no assistant able to take an order or read a prescription, in a market where regional pharmacy and beauty e-tailers already do all three.

03

Our Approach

Specify the intelligence,
then the channels.

  1. Step 01 - AI Pricing & Operations Intelligence Platform

We specified a nine-engine platform covering pricing intelligence, supplier discovery, margin simulation and delivery and route optimisation, written to be handed straight to a development team rather than left as a concept.

  2. Step 02 - Storefront, App & WhatsApp Assistant

On top of that layer we specified and built the channels: a transactional e-commerce storefront with the product catalogue integrated, a native mobile app carrying the same catalogue and ordering, and a six-module WhatsApp assistant that recommends self-care products, builds orders from a prescription and hands off to a live pharmacist when it should.

  3. Step 03 - Digital Marketing

Acquisition campaigns and channel strategy were then built to run against the platform's own margin and product-performance data, so the spend follows what actually earns rather than what happens to be in stock.

The Result

From a brochure site to
a connected business.

UCP needed more than a marketing partner. They needed someone to architect the operational intelligence behind pricing, sourcing, and margin decisions. UCP now has a fully specified, developer-ready platform bridging that gap between business need and technical execution.

UCP now has a fully specified WhatsApp AI assistant able to handle real pharmacy workflows, from personalised recommendations to prescription orders, with a clear handoff path to a human pharmacist when needed.

It has a full transactional e-commerce storefront capable of competing with regional pharmacy and beauty e-tailers, rather than functioning as a static brochure site, and a native mobile app that extends its catalogue and ordering into daily customer use, built for repeat purchase rather than one-off visits.

And a digital marketing program now drives awareness and acquisition for its online channels, aligned with the margin and product-performance data surfaced by its intelligence platform.
